I have 1,500+ hours flying this bird all over the world from east to west and north to south. I have seen the sun rise from the bow of the U.S.S. Okinawa steaming through the straights of Malacca. I have flown off the deck of the U.S.S. Belleau Wood in the northern Pacific. I have tried to count the stars on an
August night in the Arabian deserts of Kuwait. I have seen the beauty of the Aurora Borealis on a freezing January night in the Bearing Sea. I have seen the Southern Cross in the pre-dawn mornings of the Northern Australian bush. Oh how wonderful the things I have seen because of the bird.

Today, as a civilian, I am surrounded by an amazing talented team that, in spite of my PTSD,  enables me work when and where I can keeping my mind active so step by step, day by day I can strive to cope with this PTSD demon that will be a lifelong companion.
